cold-blooded spark bond
Small flying specks of light often mistaken for fireflies. They can be any color. These tiny creatures form a bond with a specific owner, who must be cold blooded. If their bond is in danger, the spark will shift into a dragon-like form, which can vary from two to six feet tall. Spark bonds will protect their companion with their life. They have been found to be quite intelegent, so, rather than being treated as pets, it is reccomended to show some respect. These creatures are often bottled up and sold for quite the price, so they're not the most common thing on the planet. Origons are unknown, but a handful have been created magically and there have been sightings of the little dots after a lightening strike.
dryad deer
Eerie animals that dwell within the dream state of the Shadowed Nightmare. They do not exist anywhere else and cannot be pulled from the realm at current date. Their lifespan depends on that of the nightmare, allowing them to live hundreds of years or only a few days. Very little is known about them due to the dangerous process required to even catch a glance of them.
dust lurker
Creatures contained within dust, often with malicious intent. Typically, they stay within the grime, trapped in a 2D dimention until freed. They are mostly invisable to the naked eye, mainly spotted by Pink Brighteyes. A Dust Lurker needs to attach itself to a host in order to be free. Once this is done, the creature will emerge as an animal formed from crystal. Bonding with a Dusk Lurker is higly discouraged, as they have been known to whisper inside the host's head, urging them to do many an evil deed.
ember spirit
Tiny humaniod figures that inhabit Chaos Forests and attach themselves to Fyre-glow Beholders. They are very commonly seen in these beholders' villages and considered a friend to the species.
Lure
Hulking monsters that live within the Ore Fields. They possess the ability to move completly silently, allowing them to scoop up travelers and other prey with their giant claws.
Muffin Chicken
Muffin Cow
Oakwood sparrow
Telepathic birds that commonly form bonds with Forest Sprites. They are known for their hot tempers and prominent attitudes. Males' beaks and feet are typicallaly colored brightly to attract females. Both genders have a crest on the tops of their heads, but males' are slightly bigger and also carry down their necks.
pyremane squirrel
Squirrels with a mane of fire down their back, forming their tails, that dwell within the depths of the Shadowed Nightmare's realm. They are typically known to be friendly, but are absolutley not to be angered or upset. Once the trust of these squirrels have been broken, they will attack in packs. Normally, they don't intend to harm the victim. Instead, they attract the nightmare to their location, therefore making it near impossible for the person to complete their nightly escape.
pyvin spiderhound
Rock golem
shadowgrowl
-Not an agile species
-Two sets of saber-like teeth
-Often solitary creatures. The only exception is mothers with cubs.
-Very stocky and sturdy felines, almost bear-like
-Found in the Chaos Forests

Shadowed nightmare
Shadowed Nightmares are a widely feared species for multiple reasons. They are extremely aggressive, attacking essentially anything that moves whether they need to feed or not. Once seen by a creature, the nightmare will not want to let them leave alive, going so far as to chase down the being until caught or one dies. If one is bit by these monsters, they will find themselves in a new realm when they fall asleep. The surface of this world is made up of water that the beings there can walk on. However, this makes ripples that the nightmare can use to track its prey. They feed off the fear of their victims, so their sole goal during this time to hunt and kill over and over, as those trapped in this plane will respawn after 'death'. Rarely, however, the victim will obtain every injury in the dream in real life, dying if slaughtered like the others. The only creature that can die in the monochrome world is the Shadowed Nightmare itself, which must happen if anyone hopes to escape the nightly terror. In order to wake up from the dream, the person inside will need to fall asleep, thus waking them up on the other side. The safest way to do this is to enter the dripping tunnels the shift upon themselves and are guarded by rocks. The world has a mind of its own, though, and these rocks will often be covering the few entrances to the labyrinth, refusing to move. If one manages to get past them, there are a few safe chambers below the surface, marked with a glowing bulb in the ceiling. Everything else below will shift constantly. The world cannot be run or flown out of, as there is a large invisible dome around the area. In order to kill a Shadowed Nightmare, it must die both in the real world and the dream one. This can prove quite a challenge, as the roughly 12 foot tall agile creatures are hard enough to injure, much less kill. The only way they can be harmed is with fire or sunlight, which keeps them restricted to walking in the shade. Getting rid of the real world nightmare is the easy part, though. In the dream world, the only things people bring with them are the clothes on their backs. While they will be perfectly healthy and whole there, this likely isn't enough to save them. The few known successful takedowns have involved mages. People inside the dream will be able to see and interact with each other, so thankfully, they can team up. Once the nightmare is dead, all the creatures trapped in its realm (excepting the wildlife) will be freed. Shadowed Nightmares cannot go underwater and will walk on top of it just as they do in their own realm. They have no known gender and are not believed to reproduce. Bites from them will continue to bleed and risk infection until the nightmare is killed. They are dark or black in color and their eyes appear to be voids.

skin bird
Vicious occupants of the Chaos Forest that can also be seen in The Gloom and Spell Marshes. They are roughly the size of a goose and possess razor sharp beaks. Their wings are featherless, but they are able to fly regardless. Skin Birds tend to travel in flocks, attacking unwary travelers. They will attempt to eat victims alive, stealing eyes, fingers, and toes before trying to slash necks, chests, and stomachs with their beaks. While the creature bleeds out, the skin birds will drink or bathe in the blood. If a flock takes down a creature, there will be nothing edible left on it when they're done. They gorge themselves, wasting food by eating it without being hungry. If they cannot manage to finish their meal, they will nest on the body until they can. They have very little chase of fleeing, preferring to fight to the death. They have excellent night vision, but are blinded to the point of dropping out of the sky by bright lights. Because of this, possibly the best weapon against them is a flashlight.
skitter paw
Possibly the most peaceful creatures in the Ore Fields. While Skitter Paws can be quite vicious, taking down prey in packs of three to five, they typically do not attack unless feeding or angered. They announce their presence with howls that sound like a mix of a wolf's and an elk's.
Sprinter
The most well known predator of the Ore Fields. Sprinters can run up to 120 miles per hour, allowing them to catch pretty much anything they want.
