beginning
Before Akis, there was only Earth. Each deity had their own bundle of private worlds, granted, but the main world they all took part in was Earth. It did them good to connect in such a way, kept them in check and pleasant. However, Nakaru, God of Death made a fatal mistake on this communal planet: he corrupted it. The other deities realized what he was doing too late to stop him, though they did their best. They apocalypse was imminent, though still a ways off. Displeased by this, Kavi, God of Life took the planet, creating a second version of it free of the corruption and purified it. She fixed up things here and there and, most importantly, wiped humans off of it as they were, at this point, known as the bringers of destruction due to Nakaru's corruption. Most of the gods were pleased, revealed for the new communal world that wasn't in a state of chaos. The deity of death, however, was outraged. He clung to the bones of Earth. He cried for others to reject this new world, Akis, and stay with him instead of 'joining' Kavi. There was nothing saying they had to form sides and most deities balked at the idea of splitting, but it happened regardless. The vast majority went to Akis.
Having already learned to build up worlds at this point, the gods gave the new planet a bit of a jump start. Right away, their creatures were intelligent. They have magic and technology at their side. Long before humans realized the second planet existed, Akis had already attempted to contact them, but, without advanced technology on the other side, the signal died. Akis grew and flourished, constantly being added onto by excited deities now allowed to add whenever they pleased and less carefully due to the mindset being different there. As the new world rose up, Earth fell. The end swept over it, leaving it desolate and barley alive. Angered, Nakaru gathered up some of the remaining humans and sent them through space to land on Akis. The other gods were outraged, but could do nothing.
At first, Akis' contact with humans was peaceful. The two worlds leaned of each other cautiously and were friendly enough. Soon, however, the humans began to get overeager. Earth, now in a post-apocalyptic state was garbage compared to this haven they had stumbled upon. Humans began to come over more abundantly and the other creatures began to get skittish. It was soon discovered that Akis had no form of overall government. The humans were delighted, suddenly deeming every other species idiots, too stupid to lead themselves. Surely they wouldn't mind if they took over. However, the moment they took the first step, every sentient creature on Akis seemed to bear its fangs and dig its heels in.
For a while, they were at a standstill. The world grew tense and it became clear that humans threatened war on the peaceful land. Although Akis had no intentions of letting Earth take over, they did not wish to bloody the ground in such a way. The world had always been a wild place with no true leaders or law, a pair of snarling dogs, at each other's throats, but neither had ever bitten. Now, a new opponent approached with no such morals. Before anyone could charge, a new beast reared its head.
Taking inspiration from the humans' ideas, a many branched organization known as the Hidden Eyes came into play. They too wanted total control of Akis, but they wanted it for themselves. Sly and underhanded, they threatened to start something if the other two wouldn't. So, Akis teetered in the balance of peace and total destruction.

Background noise/roleplay shenanigans
Prophesies exist on Akis, though they are often muted and missed. On the year of 2132, a sleeping prophesy activated. Humans burned a jungle, a hidden biome, to the ground and started the ball rolling. The act resulted in a small group of people no longer having any place to live. Thus, they set off, seeking a new home, but quickly became entangled in the prophesy while the world carried on, completely unaware.
At the end of their journey, the Deity of Bitterness fell. He had been the secret leader to the Hidden Eyes and, without him, they struggled to keep their grip on their power. Shocked by such a harsh, yet completely organized display, humans took a couple steps back, realizing they were out of their element. If a band of kids just wandering about could down a deity, what could happen to them? Although things continued to be tense for quite some time, humans were allowed to stay (within moderation) on Akis' surface provided they wished them no harm. As years slipped past since the threat of war, the world grew relaxed and peaceful yet again.
